Platforms can report, compare and benchmark the information entered into them. Enzyme works on the decisions behind that information: what a property specifies, buys and changes in practice, using platform outputs as evidence rather than treating reporting as the operating strategy.

The work is structured around the client’s existing authority, data and supplier relationships. Enzyme does not replace the procurement team or a reporting platform. It helps the people responsible for decisions agree priorities, document the basis for change and establish a practical review rhythm. The handover records what was decided, who owns it and what evidence should inform the next review.
How the work is bounded
Each engagement begins with the decision that needs to be made, the people who hold authority and the evidence already available. Scope, responsibilities and review points are agreed before work starts. Where specialist legal, technical, ecological or financial advice is required, Enzyme identifies the interface and works with the client’s appointed advisers rather than presenting that expertise as its own. Recommendations distinguish known facts, working assumptions and matters that still require confirmation. This keeps the work useful for governance, procurement and implementation after the immediate engagement is complete.
Work can be commissioned as a defined project or as part of a longer advisory relationship. In either format, the client retains authority for investment, operating and implementation decisions. Enzyme’s contribution is to connect the relevant questions, make trade-offs explicit and leave a clear record for the teams responsible for what happens next.
